Ghazaal Town

This project was designed as a compound of fourteen villas with the encouragement of a friend who was the partial owner of the land. I feel that this project was my biggest missed opportunity in designing a unique complex. The architectural design of this project is based on a very simple idea and unfortunately with a tendency towards a very ordinary European architecture. It isn’t a design with a great amount of thought. This is mainly my own fault due to being too busy and not having enough time to design and partly due to having too many clients at the same time whom I had to please, since all the sites were sold to different clients. Despite what I think, this happens to be one of the best compounds in the north of Iran according to ordinary people (non architects). Because of this many clients and due to economic problems, the construction is still going on. I hope after the completion of public spaces in this project the spatial quality of the whole compound will increase.
